Altium’s mission to dominate the electronic design software industry is in full force, and our hard-driving Mid-Market Sales team is where the most intense action takes place. As part of Mid-Market Sales, you’ll be joining Altium’s champions of fast-paced, high-volume selling. The team is driven by their Stop-at-Nothing approach to ensuring the industry broadly embraces our hugely popular EDA software. Our Mid-Market Sales team is a key reason revenues are up 75% over five years, 23% from last year. This position is located in our Frisco, TX, Sales Hub and is on-site five days a week.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF OUR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVES:

  • With a hunter’s mentality, you leave no stone unturned to deliver a high-volume of opportunities for Mid-Market Sales. We require 100 calls per day. 

  • Qualify and establish new accounts and extract maximum value for Altium

  • Drive customer engagement to new levels by devising, planning, and executing specialized projects such as call-out campaigns and data updates that compel customer action

  • Identify and bring in new customers by demonstrating how Altium products can meet their requirements

  • Uncover, review, and qualify sales leads generated from every available source

  • Strategize with sales and technical team members on plans to exceed team objectives

  • Maintain detailed and accurate notes of all sales-related activities in Altium’s Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database

  • Master the facts of Altium products and technologies to the point where you can easily explain them to any audience

  • Keep close tabs on competitive products and new releases. Become an expert on industry trends.

  • Develop new lead opportunities by learning all you can about the needs and pains of businesses we sell to. Know their timelines, authority and project teams, budget, competitive information, and anything else that will gain us entry or close a sale. 


Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU'LL NEED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • You’re a self-motivated, thorough, passionate, and articulate team player with a mindset to win who charges through their tasks with a positive attitude

  • Bachelor’s degree (computer/electrical engineering or related technical field preferred)

  • A minimum of 2+ years of inside sales experience in Software Sales with a history of exceeding targets

  • Minimum of 2+ years of Salesforce.com experience is strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of PCB or embedded software or the ability to quickly grasp it is required

  • Outstanding organization and time management skills are a must

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: All communications should be clear, concise, and effective, targeted to meet the information needs of the audience and verified to ensure they’ve been received and understood. 

  • Managing multiple priorities effectively and efficiently should be second nature


Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $60,000-63,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
