FA Senior Technician
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Senior Failure Analysis Technician to support electrical verification, fault isolation, and physical analysis activities for semiconductor products. The successful candidate will work closely with Failure Analysis Engineers to perform diagnostic testing, sample preparation, and advanced analysis techniques to identify product defects and support root cause investigations. Candidates with experience in advanced semiconductor technologies and AI-related products are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform failure analysis of failing devices based on defined test plans in conducting root cause investigations.
- Operate and maintain FA equipment such as: PEM, OBIRCH, Thermal IR Imaging, TDR, FESEM, TDR, Laser & acid decap, X-ray, Inspection Systems, Curve tracing & parametric Analyzer.
- Coordinate and follow-up with test subcon to ensure ATE results are updated in time.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, equipment SOP, safety requirements, equipment operating standards and maintain accurate records for auditing.
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration checks for FA equipment when required.
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in: Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Technology or Physics.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor failure analysis, laboratory operations, or related technical roles.
- Practical experience in electrical verification and fault isolation techniques; physical analysis on package and die levels and semiconductor device handling.
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, assembly and test backend processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering instructions, schematics, and FA procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
