The organization is seeking a seasoned and adept Global Microsoft 365 Manager with the responsibility to lead and manage the worldwide Microsoft 365 environment. In this critical role, the selected candidate will be accountable for maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of the organization's Microsoft 365 suite, which spans a global landscape. The expertise of the chosen candidate will be pivotal in ensuring that the organization harnesses the full potential of Microsoft 365 services, aligning them with the strategic objectives.
This role necessitates not only technical prowess but also the possession of strong leadership qualities. The Global Microsoft 365 Manager will be tasked with the management of a team of Microsoft 365 specialists, with the goal of ensuring efficient task execution, maintaining robust user support, and upholding the integrity and performance of the organization's Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams will be indispensable in delivering exceptional results.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Accountable for the overall health, stability, and performance of Microsoft 365 services. Ensure proper configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft 365 tools, including email, collaboration, and productivity applications.
- Performance Monitoring: Be accountable for monitoring and optimizing system performance and availability, proactively addressing issues to minimize downtime.
- Migration and Upgrades: Lead migration projects from on-premises systems to Microsoft 365, ensuring seamless transitions. Manage software updates and feature rollouts, minimizing disruption to users.
- Training and Documentation: Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for end-users and IT staff to facilitate effective use of Microsoft 365 tools.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with various departments and teams within the organization to align Microsoft 365 services with overall business goals.
- People Management: Accountable for the leadership and development of a team of Microsoft 365 specialists. Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and support team members to meet their goals
- Vendor and Budget Management: Collaborate with Microsoft and third-party vendors to manage licensing, support, and optimization of Microsoft 365 services. Account for the budget allocated to Microsoft 365 licensing and related expenses.
- Stay updated on industry trends, Microsoft 365 updates, and best practices to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- 7+ years’ proven experience in administering and managing Microsoft 365 services in a corporate environment.
- 3+ years’ experience in leading and managing a global team, including setting goals, providing guidance, and performance evaluation.
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating licensing agreements.
- Experience in managing budgets related to Microsoft 365 licensing and expenses.
- Basic knowledge of data analytics tools to track and analyze Microsoft 365 service performance.
- Problem solving skills coupled with a strong customer focus.
- Excellent communication both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with relevant background (e/g Information Systems), or similar.
- Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365 are highly desirable.
- Proven track record of successful projects in the area of Microsoft 365.
