Report Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Report Developer to join the AI, Data & Analytics team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with innovative technologies and contribute globally to advancing data-driven decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, gather and document requirements, and deliver dashboards and reports by leveraging both Power BI and Databricks solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy dashboards and reports using Power BI and Databricks
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand, document, analyze their data and reporting requirements
- Optimize data models and reports for performance and usability
- Implement row-level security on data and ensure data integrity
- Ensure data quality and accuracy by validating and testing data sources, queries, and calculations
- Provide support and training to end users on Power BI and Databricks features and functionalities
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in Power BI, Databricks, and other BI technologies and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or more than 2 years of related experience
- Ability to gather and interpret business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Proven experience as a Power BI developer in a Premium Capacity using a variety of data sources
- Proficient in Power BI, DAX, Power M language, and data modeling techniques
- Proven experience creating Databricks AI/BI Dashboards and Genie solutions
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Preferred
- Certification in Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Experience in other BI tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or SSRS
- Experience in data warehousing, ETL, or data integration
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistics
- Experience in agile or scrum methodologies
Soft skills
- Strong communication skills, ability to clearly communicate well in both written and spoken English.
- Japanese language is a plus but not mandatory
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and willing to take challenges
- Willing to work in different time zones when needed as many of our colleagues and business users are in different offices in the world
