Senior Backend Engineer - NodeJS

We are looking for a talented and self-driven Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Node.js, Fastify, and Python. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build APIs, manage data flow, and ensure reliability and performance of backend systems. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and develop robust RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js and Fastify
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code in JavaScript and Python
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers 
• Implement automated tests to ensure high code quality 
• Optimize backend performance and troubleshoot production issues 
• Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and messaging systems 
• Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with team members 
• Contribute to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments 
   

Required Skills 

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (Node.js, Fastify) and Python
• Experience building APIs, microservices, event-driven or distributed systems 
• Good understanding of REST, HTTP, and WebSockets 
• Familiarity with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis
• Working knowledge of Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) 
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT) 
• Monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack
