The Requirements Portal delivers essential features on the Altium Develop/Agile platform for engineering teams to collaborate on their product requirements. It covers the entire lifecycle from importing with smart importers customer requirements, collaborating on them, connecting them to the electronics design, verifying them and creating relevant compliance documents.

A day in the life of our Senior Software Engineer:

Your primary role will be product development for complex cloud applications with the Altium Requirements Portal R&D Team, handling technical challenges that are different from most others on the market, a mixture of complex engineering software, microelectronics, and cloud services. 

• Be part of the backend hivemind: Help define the technical direction of our backend, ensuring it's robust, scalable, and meets the ever-evolving needs of our product.
• Tackle technical challenges, solo and side-by-side: Dive deep into complex technical tasks, working autonomously and alongside your team to optimize our application's systems and lifecycle.
• Champion simplicity and performance: You'll have a keen eye for identifying areas where our services can be simpler and more performant. Be the one to propose and discuss solutions that elevate the user experience and overall efficiency.

Who We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in developing scalable cloud-based software, microservices and/or event-driven architectures;
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering
• Ability to present options for solutions that are well summarized, weighted against each other and coordinated with affected team members;
• Great, in depth, knowledge of Python Django;
• Fluency in English (verbal and written);
• Collaborative and a team player;
• Experience Mentoring other team members.
• Passionate about taking the responsibility of delivering high quality software, understanding and providing the best experience for the user to solve their needs.
• You like seeing the big picture. Understand that decisions in one area may impact others, so you can take the best approach
