Sustaining Engineering Technician (Evening Shift)
We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Sustaining Engineering Technician to join our team in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia on an evening shift basis. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our sustaining engineering team, working closely with Product and Test Engineers to support ATE sample testing and data collection. Your contributions will ensure product continuity and reliability after mass production, making you an essential member of our quality assurance efforts.
- Support engineers in conducting manual sample ATE testing and ensure accurate test execution
- Operate production testers proficiently and provide remote debugging support to engineering teams
- Perform monthly routine tester calibration and maintain optimal tester conditions to ensure equipment reliability
- Compile test data accurately and provide comprehensive data analysis to support engineering decisions
- Manage and calibrate lab equipment according to established protocols and standards
- Troubleshoot and debug testers, and perform load board repairs as needed
- Support engineers in lab bench validation activities and document findings transparently
- Maintain detailed technical records and ensure organized documentation of all testing activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues efficiently and meet project goals
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Technician handling testers and/or manufacturing equipment
- Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic, Physics, Computer Science, or related field)
- Demonstrated ability to work evening shift schedules consistently and reliably
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in tester operation and maintenance (experience with ETS, FLEX, 93K, Cohu, or SPEA is highly valued)
- Solid understanding of lab equipment management and calibration procedures
- Excellent data compilation and analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks during evening shift operations
- Experience in tester and load board repair and troubleshooting (preferred)
- Experience in load/test board soldering techniques (preferred)
- Knowledge of technical documentation and record-keeping best practices (preferred)
- Familiarity with remote debugging and support procedures (preferred)
